Do You Trust Your Salesforce Mobile App to Perform When it Counts?

TrustCaddyTrust is the foundation of any healthy relationship. But when the relationship in question is between a business user and a mobile app supporting their daily need to do their job, the importance of unflinching trust becomes much more tangible.

We believe that a business investing in a mobile app should be able to have full confidence in its performance at all times, so that the employees can work to the best of their ability with no complications or interruptions.

As a result, MobileCaddy has a dedicated team working on a daily basis to ensure all MobileCaddy users can have absolute trust in their apps. This team’s insights are made public through our own TrustCaddy website.

What is TrustCaddy?

The purpose of this website is to add an extra dimension of confidence for users in the reliability of their Salesforce mobile app, and to give reassurance that the app will continue to work as it’s supposed to. When a business has invested in an app that’s custom built for their individual workflows, this consistency and dependability are all the more important.

Diesel: Learn How This Leading Global Brand Achieved Mobile App Success

diesel-case-studyWhile enterprise mobility may have transcended the status of ‘buzzword’ to be recognised as a genuine strategic business practice many years ago, most analysts and experts feel it’s a trend which is still in its infancy.

Why? Well, despite the vast majority of employees now demanding mobile technology in their respective workplaces – fuelled by the consumer habits and expectations of their everyday lives – some business leaders are still struggling to fully embrace enterprise mobility.

In some cases, this is due to a lack of funding for investment, in others it’s because of the challenges they feel will arise from disrupting their organisations; but often it’s because they’re unable to understand how their most important business processes would actually benefit from translating into the context of a mobile phone from paper or desktop.

But with all the early attention on enterprise mobility being given to mobile devices, mobile business strategies are now beginning to mature and evolve to focus on the applications those devices support. This app-centric trend is where the real driving force has originated recently for enterprise mobility to become more than just a strategic business practice, but an absolute necessity for those businesses to survive in the long-term.

salesforce-mobile-appsThere are many complex technical and commercial decisions to be made by enterprises when searching for a solution to build effective Salesforce mobile apps in the current market. But when an organisation is able to find the right technology, which can deliver exactly what they need, how does the process then continue, and how should the relationship develop?

Following the successful completion of a mobile app project for a customer named The Travel Corporation, Ltd. (TTC), alongside our strategic partners Appirio, we recently sat down to speak with Calvin Goodenough, the Subject Matter Expert from the project, to ask him about his experience working with MobileCaddy.

What was your first impression of working with MobileCaddy?

Calvin Goodenough: A previous attempt had been made at getting the Tour Operations Portal (TOPS) mobile app project off the ground in September 2015, but this was ultimately abandoned. As a consultant, I wasn’t involved in the selection of the partners, so had no knowledge of them prior to our first kick-off meeting in mid-December.

Salesforce App Cloud Mobile Shifts Enterprise Attention to App Performance

MobileCaddyIntroducing App Cloud Mobile

Last month, Salesforce introduced a new strategic mobile technology offering for businesses, in the shape of the Salesforce App Cloud Mobile, having recently been named a leader in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Mobile App Development Platforms.

Salesforce revealed that its motivation behind this announcement stemmed from enterprise IT teams needing a platform that’s agile yet powerful enough to meet the expectations of modern professionals for a social, mobile, and intelligent app experience.

With Gartner predicting that 75% of application purchases supporting digital business ‘will be build rather than buy’ by 2020, it’s no surprise Salesforce has devoted such efforts to make developing enterprise mobile apps easier, faster, and more accessible for both technical and non-technical users.

With our commitment to making it easier for JavaScript developers to work with the Salesforce.com platform to rapidly build fully offline mobile apps this was a really exciting prospect.

And we weren’t let down. The meetup was at capacity weeks before the event and even with a move to a larger venue this was soon on a waiting list again.

Ionic is an awesome open source front-end SDK for rapidly building hybrid mobile apps with HTML5.
